Chloe graduated from Brighton in 1997 with a degree in printed textiles. Taking inspiration from the natural world she creates vivid three dimensional depictions of creatures and plants. After a few years spent working exclusively with paper Chloe has returned to her textile roots.
The cactus' here form part of a new collection of soft sculptures. They combine her love of nature with an enthusiasm for pattern which is printed onto the cups with unique, hand-made stamps. She continues to be inspired by the simplicity of Japanese design, and often uses the ancient technique of 'Sashiko' (a form of decorative reinforcement stitching) to embellish her work.
