The Gallery is in a central location on Burwash High Street (A265), diagonally opposite the Lime Tree Tea Rooms.
BURWASH
Burwash is best known for its association with Rudyard Kipling who lived at Bateman’s, a former Ironmaster’s house, which is situated ½ mile outside the village. It is now run by the National Trust.
Views and Walks
The village straddles a high ridge which allows for stunning views both on the north and south sides of the High Street. There are many footpaths from the village which take you out into the surrounding countryside.
Refreshment
There are three pubs to be found, all offering good food and drink.
The very popular Lime Tree Tea rooms offers home prepared food, teas and coffee.
If the weather and scenery inspire you, you may want to pick up picnic supplies at the Village Stores or the News Agents.
To take Home
For the connoisseur of the sausage, the ‘Burwash Beauty’ is a treat from our local butcher that you cannot leave the village without!
