Catherine is a Dorset based jeweller, working from her own small studio at the bottom of her garden.
Early influences from family and the graphic arts have informed her jewellery designs, but these also stem from a more general sense of what feels "right".
Etching is her signature technique, enabling her to express a love of texture and pattern, and she also uses it to introduce a narrative element and a sense of fun to some of her less formal pieces.
She works using a combination of traditional practices and modern technology - so every piece is hand made, but innovations such as photopolymer film widen the scope of designs that she can apply and also bring the etching process into the 21st century.
She enjoys combining metals with carefully selected semi-precious stones and beads, creating individual and highly wearable jewellery.
