Elizabeth designs and individually hand throws her Ceramic Tableware.
Using stoneware and porcelain she merges traditional and modern techniques of hand throwing and building. She uses a mixture of sgraffito, incised lines and grooves for her decoration firing her work in an electric kiln. Influenced by Japanese and Danish design, she takes her inspiration from a range of sources, including the natural beauty and industrial landscapes of Yorkshire where she grew up, along with farming architecture and heritage crafts.
Experimenting with her own glaze recipes to create a palette of natural tones, Elizabeth is constantly refining and evolving her collection striving for a balance between simplicity and the unusual.
Her work “possesses a serene and tranquil quality, it is functional and made to be used and enjoyed in every day life “.
She has exhibited widely since setting up her studio in West London in 2014.
