If you were to look through the window of the house that Sean grew up in, you would see a glimpse of the world that inspired the pots that Sean makes today. Sean’s work is inspired by industry and its tools, in particular the Coal industry and its machinery. But also the whistling kettle that would be found on the stove and the coal scuttle that would be by the door of the auger. The colours are Sean’s hallmark colours with the addition of a new oil green, reinforcing the mechanical theme and Sean’s passion for engineered forms. These are engineered forms made by hand.
