Yolande BeerSussex born Yolande Beer maker of brightly coloured earthenware and white stoneware.
She began her career at Brighton College of art where she excelled in ceramics and life drawing. Here she discovered her niche by decorating her pots, platters and tiles with lively flowing figures. Yolande also spent a year and a half in Japan, brush-decorating tableware and preparing for a solo show in Tokyo. Subtle Japanese influence is still visible in her work today and her designs are understandably popular at Charleston Farmhouse and Firle. |
